6 Essential Oils to Boost Your Creativity

6 Essential Oils to Boost Your Creativity

Every human spirit aspires to be a creator. However, we all have times when our creative well appears to be dry. We tend to have these dry spells or blockages when our motivation, desire, or attention is stifled. We could all need a little boost now and then, no matter what our creative joy is.

The usage of essential oils helps me to be more creative.

Essential oils are made by distilling naturally occurring compounds found in all plants and concentrating them into a highly concentrated form. Essential oils are easily inhaled and subsequently used by our brains through our sense of smell because they are volatile, or evaporate quickly. This results in triggers that have a significant impact on our emotions and mood.

Consider it this way: If you start using particular oils as part of your daily creative practice, your brain will recognize them as triggers, signaling that it’s time to relax and create.

Choosing essential oils

Personally, I use Young Living Essential Oils. Why? Each bottle is evaluated for purity and efficacy on an individual basis. I’ve found them to support my wellness, my home, and my business in every way. They’re ethically and sustainably obtained, free of toxicity, evaluated for potency and purity, and have high therapeutic value.

6 essential oils to revitalize your creative energy

1. Tangerine: The oil of joy & creativity

Tangerine’s bright, zesty aroma can brighten even the darkest of moods and infuse our creative work with traits of playfulness and cheer. An overwhelming sense of obligation or stringent standards might stifle creativity, but tangerine can help us break through and begin to work with a new, more childlike sense of purpose. Tap into a plethora of creative energy that already exists inside you and is just waiting to be unleashed. Allow yourself to be happy!

How to use tangerine essential oils:

Place one to two drops in the palm of your hand, swirl them together, and cup them over the nose and mouth for 30 seconds to enhance creative energy and elevate your mood. To encourage sensations of happiness, apply to the wrists or abdomen.

2.Frankincense: the oil of calm

Frankincense’s gentle, spicy aroma is a nervous system tonic, calming and soothing the entire body and mind. This is a peaceful, caring oil that makes us feel safe and supported as we strive to be our most creative and clear selves. I reach for frankincense whenever I’m stressed or overwhelmed, rubbing a drop on my wrists, pressing them together, and taking a few long, relaxing breaths. Our creative selves are freer to emerge and play when we are relaxed.

How to use frankincense oil:

To create feelings of relaxation and emotional balance, apply this essential oil to the bottoms of your feet. Diffuse frankincense during your creative process to help you focus and generate feelings of tranquility and fulfillment.

3. Lavender: the oil of communication

Lavender essential oil is unrivaled in its ability to support our ability to express ourselves. It soothes the uncertainties that arise when we start a new endeavor or experiment with fresh ideas. Even if the capacity to smell scents has been gone, it might help to relieve anxiety. This delicate, fragrant flower Oil inspires us to be honest with ourselves in our work and frees us to shine and CREATE!

How to use lavender oil:

Diffuse lavender in your office to boost your energy levels. Keep a tiny bottle of lavender oil and water on hand to spray your face for a boost of calm and clarity.

4. Clary sage: The oil of clarity and vision

This wonderful oil can assist us in shifting our perspectives, removing limiting notions about our job and allowing our hearts and minds to be open to new possibilities. It can motivate us to trust our instincts more and broaden our perspectives. Clary Sage is one of the most relaxing, soothing, and balanced essential oils, promoting relaxation and lowering stress and anxiety levels.

5. Jasmine: the oil of optimism and confidence

Jasmine is the most sensual and feminine of the oils, and it gives the mind, body, and spirit a mild sense of exhilaration. We feel more secure and ready to take on even the most difficult jobs when we are elated. When I know I’m in for a long day, I diffuse Jasmine in my studio. If I really need a boost, I’ll sip some hot jasmine tea to complement the fantastic effects of this oil.

How to use jasmine oil:

Diffuse this oil to instill feelings of happiness, peace, and self-assurance.

For a spacious feeling of optimism, rub a drop on your third eye (the space between your brows). It’s also great for your skin!

6. Peppermint: the oil of concentration

A drop of peppermint oil rubbed on the back of my neck or my temples wakes me up like nothing else. This bright, minty oil fills the heart and soul with excitement and buoyancy, allowing us to let go of inhibitions and focus fully on the task at hand. It energizes the mind and spirit while also assisting us in inhaling more pure, clear inspiration.

How to use peppermint oil:

For a non-stimulant, invigorating pick-me-up during long work sessions, inhale peppermint oil straight from the bottle. For an energy boost, rub on your temples before going to work. When you’re tired or low on energy and need a boost to your concentration, diffuse.

These Essential Oils are something I use on a regular basis to keep my creative fires burning. They support me in summoning my courage to freely express myself in my creative work by helping me find motivation when I’m lacking it, boosting my energy, and assisting me in finding motivation when I’m lacking it.

Oils help me connect to my inner kid and find joy and playfulness as part of my daily creative practices. Without them, I couldn’t imagine doing my job as an artist. I’m hoping you’ll give them a chance.
