Dairy is good….dairy is bad? Which is it?
There’s a lot of confusion out there.
Here’s what I’ve found.
- I used to talk crap about dairy. I also used to be vegan. But then my health started declining.
- Despite following mainstream advice to avoid all the *things* that cause hormonal imbalance and endo, I was getting WORSE. Like ending up in the ER twice in 6 months.
- I felt great at first but it wasn’t sustainable for me. Transitioning to a vegan diet was fairly easy since I hadn’t consumed dairy in years.
- Yogurt, milk, cheese-all the things caused hormonal acne for me. I’m also “lactose intolerant” and consuming it would cause horrible sinus infections and strep throat.
- Recently, I found a local farmer and started consuming unpasteurized and non homogenized cream.
- I started putting it in my coffee. YUM. After 3 days, I started to get this glow and felt more alive than I had felt in years. …..Then I started drinking whole milk. And now I eat raw cheese and butter.
- I do not experience hormonal acne, excess phlegm or mucus and guess what? My lactose intolerance disappeared.
Last year my hubby and I took a food sensitivity and allergy test.
I was shocked to find out I was moderately allergic to almonds. {not to mention almond milk is not sustainable & puts stress on bees which have to pollinate the almond flowers -the pesticides they use kills bees}
I’m not allergic to cows milk.
So I did a little experiment.
I consumed ultra-pasteurized dairy from the store. After about a 2 weeks, I developed eczema/psoriasis like patches on my body. I quit the store bought dairy and it’s slowly going away without treatment.
I encourage you to check out www.realmilk.com for more information. The fact that milk can be and has been used for centuries as medicine is being suppressed.
